In the book, there are four images. I’ve provided them here, in color, with a few additional images. Anna Mae is the muse, spiritual guide, angel, or what could be described as my interpretation of my higher self. I’ve included a few images that depicts the individual energy based, reality bubble we all live in. It’s a mix of our energy and perception that creates our unique realities.
The River of Well-Being represents that Source connected aspect of us, that is always available to us, even in our darkest hours. Cork is a naturally buoyant wood that is used as an analogy to your natural ability to be resilient.
I discuss Mom’s transition from pancreatic cancer, when I was twenty, in the book. I’ve included images of her, in her younger days, here. There’s also a picture of her and I fishing in Oyster Bay, on Lake Charlevoix in Michigan. Notice how she’s not turning her head, in the photo in the boat? Mom had ankylosing spondylitis, which is a form of arthritis that primarily affects the spine, although other joints can become involved. It causes inflammation of the spinal joints (vertebrae) that can lead to severe, chronic pain and discomfort. For Mom, she lost all range of motion in her neck and back.
